As its name implies, Sneham (or "Tamil Sneham", as we prefer to call it to distinguish it from others with similar names), is a non-profit organization intended to promote friendship and serve the social and cultural interests of people of common (Indian) cultural heritage in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Even though it was originally conceived and organized to serve the Tamil communityin the Tampa Bay area, its reach has now extended to others through its many educational, leadership and recreational activities for the youth of the community.
Tamil Sneham is now an inclusive organization open to all who share its mission.
As the organization grew it added more activities to meet the needs of the community. Noteworthy among them are the Youth Leadership Program for youngsters and the monthly Volunteering Program at a local charity serving the poor and homeless in our community.
